Mark it on your calendar:  our Picture Day will be on October 30.

We are all looking forward to our first fundraiser this year of a Halloween Dance-a-thon on October 31st. Our first Mass for the school year is on October 16 at 10:45 am.  It is for the Feast Day of St. Marguerite d’Youville and therefore very special for our school.

Once again, SMD will have a Terry Fox Run/Walk on September 27 to raise money for cancer.  Terry Fox was such an inspiration of courage and strength that we would like to remember him every year. We would appreciate any donation our families can give for this important cause.

Our parents and guardians are very welcome to attend our Curriculum Night on September 20 at 7:00 pm. Classroom teachers are offering two 30-minute sessions to parents to present the curriculum topics and expectations for your child’s school year.  It’s an important event for all our parents and guardians to attend.

On September 18 at 1:15 pm, the school will have our first Liturgy of the Word in the gym for the students, staff and any parents/guardians who would like to attend.   The liturgy will offer special prayers for a former teacher of SMD, Mrs. DeNoble, who passed away in August.  Please keep Mrs. DeNoble in your thoughts and prayers.
