Each year, the Catholic community of Ontario engages in a week-long celebration of the unique identity and distinctive contributions of Catholic education during Catholic Education Week. This year’s celebration is entitled, “Catholic Education: We Are Many, We Are One ” and will be celebrated next week, from Monday, May 1 to Friday, May 5. In celebration of Catholic Education week, St. Marguerite d’Youville will be participating in a number of activities and events during the week.
Monday, May 1 – Grade 2 Trip to the Kortright Centre
Tuesday, May 2 – Catholic Education Week Liturgy lead by students in Mme. Mirenzi’s / Ms. Mittone’s (Grade 7 FI) and Ms. Skenderis’ Classes at 1:40 p.m. Parents/Guardians are welcome to join us.
Wednesday, May 3 – Welcome to Kindergarten / First Impressions in the Morning; Ms. Iannuzzi’s Class Attending the STREAM Centre; Board Mass for Catholic Education Week at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 4 -Staff Appreciation Lunch Provided by Catholic School Council; Robotics Night presented by STEM Minds from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (FDK to Grade 8).
Friday, May 5 – Asian Heritage Month Guest Speaker – Amanpreet Kaur – “South Asian Innovators” at 10:45 a.m. – Grades 4 to 8
