Each October, York Region Children’s Aid Society raises awareness about how to identify child abuse and neglect, while educating the public about the important role each person has in keeping children safe. Once again, York Region Children’s Aid Society is asking for the support of YCDSB by inviting our schools to participate in a provincial Dress Purple Day on Thursday, October 27. This campaign provides an opportunity to help spread the message to children, youth, families, teachers and the larger community that we are committed to child safety and honoring the rights of children.
