Curriculum Night provides parents/guardians with the opportunity to meet their child’s classroom teacher and learn about their child’s academic school year. This year, Curriculum Night will be held on Thursday, September 23 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. virtually, via Google Meet. There are two exceptions:
1) Ms. Lisi (Physical Education Teacher) – Tuesday, September 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
2) Mme. Mirenzi and Ms. Galati (Grade 6 and 7 French Immersion) – Wednesday, September 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Each classroom teacher will provide two sessions at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The format will be a presentation (approximately 10-15 minutes), followed by a brief question and answer period (approximately 5-10 minutes). The format will be exactly the same for both sessions. Google Meet links will be posted in your child’s Google Classroom as we approach the date.
For our itinerant (French, Physical Education, Music) and core resource teachers, there will be three drop-in sessions (7:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m.). Please check each itinerant/core resource teacher’s individual Google Classroom (through your child’s K12 account) for a more detailed breakdown of the times as the date approaches.
A gentle reminder that the intent of Curriculum Night is to provide a general overview of the class (i.e. curriculum, classroom expectations and procedures, parent communication details, etc.) and not an opportunity to speak directly about your child’s academic progress. This will happen more formally during interviews in November after the Progress Report. As well, parents/guardians may also call the school if they have a question or concern.
