Collection for the Richmond Hill Food Bank – Tuesday, June 8

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is during moments of crisis and despair that as a community of faith, we come together to show kindness, care and solidarity. During this period of school and work closures, more families than ever before are in need of the Richmond Hill Food Bank’s services.

The Richmond Hill Community Food Bank was founded in 1986 to provide temporary emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need. They are the only registered food bank serving in Richmond Hill and the Thornhill area. Your generous donation helps allow them to continue to provide this service.

As a response to this critical situation, school communities across the York Catholic District School Board are coming together to support our neighbours in need. Collection bins will be placed at the front doors of St. Marguerite d’Youville, as well as neighbouring schools, in support of the Richmond Hill Food Bank.

Families are encouraged to take a walk to their closest school and place a bag of food and/or personal hygiene items in the Food Bank Bins.

When: Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

Time: Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Neighbouring School Food Drive: St. Charles Garnier, Our Lady Help of Christians and St. Joseph Richmond Hill will also be participating on the same date and time.

Please ensure that you maintain social distancing and all COVID-19 protocols at all times to ensure your personal well being.
