SMD Yearbook for the 2020-2021 School Year – Instructions

This year, public health guidelines have prevented the typical school photo day. In order to include portraits in this school year’s Yearbook (class pages), we are asking all parents/guardians to submit a photo via an online app created by the publishing company Herff Jones. The last date for submission will be Friday, May 14. Although Grade 8 students have already taken their grad photos, a submission is still required for the class page.

Instructions on how to submit (this information is also available in the attached flyer): SMD Yearbook Picture Upload Instructions 2021.pdf

1) On your computer, go to www.hjeshare.com or download the free mobile app “HJ eShare” from Google Play or the App Store.

2) You will be prompted to enter the school code: smdmustangs21

3) Enter your contact information.

4) Select “Click Here to Upload a Student Portrait”. Please note there is a second option to “Click Here to Upload General Photos”. We are currently working on family events for next week’s Catholic Education Week (May 3 to May 7) where you will have an opportunity to take pictures and upload them using the same online app. More information regarding this will follow tomorrow.

5) Follow the prompts in the four step process. Please see the flyer for information on how to take a proper portrait for consistency. The third step will ask you to submit your child’s name, grade and teacher. This is important as it will allow the app to sort the students by class. Please note that if you have more than one child attending the school, you will have to follow this process for each child individually.
