Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is back again this November! The Book Fair will be held, in the library, from Monday, November 11 to Thursday, November 14. Progress Reports

Progress Report Cards go home, with each student, on Tuesday, November 12. The Kindergarten Progress Report Card addresses Self-Regulation Skills. The Progress Report Card for Students in Grades 1—8 addresses: Learning Skills, Work Habits and General Progress. Halloween Fundraiser

Our major fundraiser at St. Marguerite d’Youville this year is our Halloween Dance-A-Thon to enhance our technology and learning resources in the school. The Dance-A-Thon will take place on Thursday, October 31. Students are invited to wear a costume or black and orange clothing on that day.

Thanksgiving / Feast Day Mass

St. Marguerite d’Youville was the first native Canadian to be elevated to Sainthood. She was born October 15, 1701 in Varennes, Quebec. She was the eldest of six children born to Christophe Dufrost de Lajemmerais and Marie‐Renée Gaultier. Her father died when she was seven years old, leaving this     family of six in great poverty. Aubrey Clarke Author Visit

On Wednesday, October 23, SMD welcomes guest speaker Aubrey Clarke to our school. Clarke will present to our FDK to Grade 6 students in the gym.
