The school will have our Remembrance Day Liturgy on November 9th at 10:45 am in the gym.  We thank Mlle. Vetro’s & Mlle. Turco’s gr. 2 and 3 classes for organizing the prayer service for the school.

Mark it on your calendar:  our Picture Day will be on October 30.

We are all looking forward to our first fundraiser this year of a Halloween Dance-a-thon on October 31st. For families who submit their pledges early to the school, there is an early bird draw on Oct. 26, 29 and 30.  We are hoping to raise enough to fund resources for our school, especially more chromebooks for the Junior Intermediate classes and tablets for the Kindergarten ... Our first Mass for the school year is on October 16 at 10:45 am.  It is for the Feast Day of St. Marguerite d’Youville and therefore very special for our school.

Once again, SMD will have a Terry Fox Run/Walk on September 27 to raise money for cancer.  Terry Fox was such an inspiration of courage and strength that we would like to remember him every year. We would appreciate any donation our families can give for this important cause.

Our parents and guardians are very welcome to attend our Curriculum Night on September 20 at 7:00 pm. Classroom teachers are offering two 30-minute sessions to parents to present the curriculum topics and expectations for your child’s school year.  It’s an important event for all our parents and guardians to attend.
